FAQs

FSAs (Flexible Spending Accounts) and HSAs (Health Savings Accounts) are both tax-advantaged accounts that let you use pre-tax money for medical-related expenses, but they work a bit differently. FSAs are usually employer-sponsored and follow a “use-it-or-lose-it” rule, meaning funds must be used within the plan year. HSAs, available with high-deductible health plans, offer more flexibility—your money rolls over year to year.

For more information, see Flex's Comprehensive Guide to HSA/FSAs. And ask your employer.
