Helping Women + Children in Crisis

Women Giving Back x Ingrid+Isabel

Of the 38.1 million people living in poverty, 56 percent are women—and the number of children living in poverty has grown over the past 18 years.*

Since 2007, Women Giving Back has been working to improve these statistics locally in DC, as well as nationally and internationally. They serve homeless women and children, those who have escaped domestic abuse with just the clothes on their back, those fleeing sex trafficking, and women coming out incarceration.

We're proud to support Women Giving Back's mission of helping women in crisis by giving them quality clothing at no cost. The foundation of everything they do is to ensure these women receive the basics in life. From there, they watch them move up and away from the hurdles that hold them backone outfit, one conversation, one hug, and one act of kindness at a time.

For every nursing bra or cami purchase during World Breastfeeding Week 2021 (8/1-8/8), Ingrid+Isabel is donating one to Women Giving Back.

Underneath it all, we just want to feel seen and cared for. We hope our everyday essentials help empower these women to take the next step towards independence, support their breastfeeding journeys, and bring them the confidence they need to thrive in the world.

Ingrid & Isabel was born when its founder, Ingrid, was newly pregnant with her daughter Isabel and could no longer button her pre-pregnancy bottoms. She fashioned the first prototype of the Bellaband and spent three years perfecting the design before it hit shelves in 2003. To this day, every piece we make, we design with, on, and for moms.
