We both know that you have much bigger things to focus on at the moment (like growing a tiny human). So- read on for a few bits of advice on how to maintain a happy, joyful mind while pregnant.
(Promise, they are easy and you can implement them no matter what trimester you are in atm . . .)
5 Ways to Keep Pregnancy Anxiety at Bay:
#1 Put Your Phone Down
(That’s so powerful, we’re going to say it again). PUT DOWN YOUR PHONE. Dr. Google never went to Med School. If something is truly worrying you, always consult your Doc.
#2 Make Room For Grace
If you aren’t feeling your best, take a break. Didn’t eat 100% organic this week? Baby will be just fine. Make room for grace and you’ll be surprised at how much lighter you feel.
#3 Mantra Practice, “I am perfectly imperfect.”
Repeat this mantra as soon as you feel anxiety creep in. Say it first thing in the morning and before you go to bed at night.
#4 Practice a Simple Meditation to Get Centered.
Studies show that meditation can even help with morning sickness. Above all, it will help you get grounded and practice gratitude.
#5 Move Your Body
Jump, swim, walk, or jog. Any way you move your body is a win and will help calm your mind.
